Sodium antimonate is also known as sodium pyroantimonate in China, and its molecular formula is. In our country, the use of sodium antimonate was introduced from Japan in the 80's color TV tube glass production line only after the beginning. Sodium antimonate is also used as catalytic clarifier. At the beginning, the sodium antimonate used in the production of color TV picture tube glass in China was supplied by Japan, and after 1986, it began to use the sodium antimonate developed in China gradually.

Sodium antimonate in some areas to replace antimony trioxide, mainly due to the following factors:


(1) The use of sodium antimonate is cost-effective, and generally saves about 20% of the cost of raw materials.


(2) Sodium antimonate is used as clarifier in special glass industry such as electronic tube, which can improve the transparency of glass.


(3) When antimony trioxide is used as glass clarifying agent, it is necessary to convert trivalent antimony into pentavalent antimony, and antimony in sodium antimonate itself exists in the form of pentavalent antimony, which is quite favorable to the production.


(4) the use of antimony trioxide as a glass clarifier must be added to sodium nitrate, while the use of sodium antimonate does not need to add sodium nitrate.

1、Used as opaque filler, emulsifier for enamel and acid-resistant paint for iron and steel plate;

3、It is used as flame retardant for textiles, plastics, rubber and other industries;

5、It is used for identifying sodium ion in chemical analysis.
